Definitely Rolling Over

This morning I walked into Ella's room and she was on her stomach in her bed. That's great and all, but I put her to bed on her back! She was awake and trying to roll over to her back, but could not do it.

Zach got home from a business trip last night so he had missed the events from yesterday. He was anxious to see her do her thing, so we put her on her blanket after her bottle this morning and she showed us exactly how it was done. I love the grunt at the end!

***She still can't roll back onto her back...as of today that is. She seemed to have learned to roll over in a day, why not step it up on this new day? I'll keep you posted! :)

Rolling Over...Well, Almost

While we were on vacation we did not get to have much tummy time or just plain mat time, so today we did a lot of activities on Ella's play mat. This morning I had her on a blanket and she rolled from her tummy to her back...once. I could not get her to do it again! She hasn't quite gotten the hang of pushing with one leg and lifting with her arms, or whatever else might help her accomplish this. We are still in the early stages, but she is already amazing me more and more every day.

However, she did surprise me later on this afternoon. She was lying on her play mat and I was sitting next to her thumbing through "What to Expect the First Year" for info. about rolling over. One minute I was talking to her (while she was on her back), then I looked at the book for a few seconds, and when I looked at her again she was on her STOMACH! It all happened so fast! I tried to get it on camera after that, but had no luck. I did get her trying again, but she was so tired by this time I was only able to catch the frustrating part. Take a look to see what I mean...
