Easter 2010

We had such a wonderful Easter this year! It was a day filled with faith, family, food, fun, and firsts (Emerson's first Easter holiday :) ). We are truly blessed!

He Is Risen!

We have been so blessed by Jesus Christ and truly enjoyed our day of Easter celebration. Our morning started off with Ella Grace discovering that the Easter bunny had paid her a visit! Since she was only a few days old last year, this was her first Easter basket. SO FUN! She couldn't believe he left her a bunny, a book, and a pink bunny sippy cup. There were also sparkly eggs filled with some of her favorite things like cheerios, goldfish, and yogurt melts. She was all about walking around the house shaking those things just to hear the noise. I do believe she liked the pretty pink "grass" more than the goodies inside though! :)

After breakfast we headed to church and played with all the nicely dressed babies in the nursery. We also got to hang out with our friends, The Howrys. :) The service was amazing as always. Aunt Mel, Travis, and Caysie even came to celebrate with us too. What a fun way to start our Easter morning!

Then it was off to Nanny and Papaw's for lunch and an Easter egg hunt.




Ella loved carrying her basket all over the yard. She would put an egg in and then take it out again and place it back where she found it. :)








After hunting it was time to take a break to slide and swing with Papaw.






Sweet baby Clayton slept through his first Easter...


I could kick myself for not getting a family picture!!! Oh well, there is always next year. :) Hope everyone had a blessed Easter too!

Easter Bunny and Bluebonnets

Since daddy was out of town with the boys today, Ella and I had a girls day with Aunt Mel and Caysie. We started our day at the mall to get a picture taken with the Easter bunny. I can't describe how precious it was to watch Ella interact with that giant white bunny. She just talked and talked to it for the longest time and kept petting his arms and face. I think she could have sat in his lap all day just staring at him. SO SWEET!

After doing a little shopping we decided to head over to take a few pictures of the girls in the bluebonnets. Once again, it was such a precious moment for me to witness of Ella Grace. I teared up just watching her frolic through the bluebonnets while giggling with her sweet cousin. Made my heart melt!










E's dress kept blowing up and she just kept on going!


Chick-fil-A was a perfect end to our girls day. Ella even got to play at her first restaurant playground too. I really can't believe how big {and independent} she is now!

Tonight after a GOOD, long bath Ella got to wear her new bunny pj's to bed. I tried to get a cute picture of her in her bunny ears too, but this girl is always ON. THE. MOVE. She knew what she was up to tonight though. Each time I would put the ears on her she would smile and prance around, but as soon as she saw the camera, off they went. Little stinker!






Looking forward to church tomorrow! We are working in the nursery and then off to "big" church. (You know you called it that too growing up! Ha!) Can't wait for a yummy lunch at my grandparents house with family too! Hope everyone has a fabulous Easter Sunday!
