Dallas World Aquarium 2009

Zach's brother and his family came to town this weekend so we decided to beat the heat at the Dallas World Aquarium. We. LOVE. this. place. It was Ella's second time to go, the other being when she was about 4 months old, and she could not get enough of looking at all of the animals. As we walked through each exhibit, she said "wow" about a million times. :) I think her favorite was probably the tropical aquariums with all the colorful fish. You will see pictures later that show her enthusiasm. :)

Ready for a fun day at the aquarium...

{Cousin} Marley, Ella Grace, and Kate (Marley's SWEET little friend)

Happy girl! I seriously cannot get enough of this face. :)

Checking out the rain forest with granddad.

Kate and Laura were brave and fed the birds. I wanted Ella to try, but I was scared she would eat the blueberry instead of giving it to the bird. Ha!

One of the birds from the rain forest was just hanging out on a post and could care less if people touched it. Of course, Miss Ella was all about it!

Ha! Check out Zach's face in this one...

Next, it was off to the aquariums!

Ella was standing on a little ledge on one side, but who is that standing on the other side? {Again, this cracks me up!}

Afterwards we walked over to the West End for a yummy lunch at Spaghetti Warehouse. My little bottomless pit ate everything in sight! {4 strawberries, almost half of my baked penne, 3 raviolis, bread, and ice cream} Seriously, where does she put it???

Showing off her waving skills...
{She has really gotten into waving at people, especially at the grocery store. She will let out a giggle and wave to get their attention as we pass. The other day when I was checking out she waved to the cashier the entire time while smiling. Friendly little stinker. Too funny!}

The big girls played a few games, so Ella got to "play" too. Here she is driving the car. Look at that face...

We had such a fun day with family!

Later that night we got to go out with a group of our couple friends. The Howrys will welcome baby Colt soon, so we had one last hoorah together. :) Can't beat a night of dinner, music, and adult conversation!

Ahhh the Aquarium looks like a nice, cool place to be. We've thought about visiting it ourselves soon!
