Today I decided to tackle something that I have been putting off for a while...cleaning out Ella's closet and drawers. I don't know if it was because I didn't want to get into a project like that yet, or if I was secretly not wanting all of her "first" clothes to go away. (Only to a storage bin, but still!) It really needed to be done because I was running out of space in both areas. The girl has way too many clothes!
As I was going through everything, memories were coming back to me that I connected with certain outfits. I can remember when I had a hard time dressing her because everything was too big. All of her onesies and hats that she spent most of her first few weeks in looked so tiny! I even tried to put one of her hats on her head, and I could not even stretch it to make it fit. SO SAD! There were many things that also made me smile though. Her coming home outfit, the dress she wore for her dedication at church on Mother's Day, her first swim suit, sweet little socks...and so much more!
*Funny thing about the socks...when we first brought Ella home and she was here for a week or so, Zach asked me what really made me know that we had a baby in our house (besides the obvious). I can't remember what I said, but I do remember him saying that for him it was her little socks that were always lying around the house. I just loved that!

She is so darned sweet and always looks so happy. You are obviously showering her with love and affection and she shows it!
I have Macey's clothes in a stack and I can't bear to get rid of them. I want to put every outfit in a frame :)
Miss Ella is so precious. I want all of them to meet up for Halloween pics!!!
Ella such a cutie. I know the feeling about getting rid of "old clothes". Half of Barrett's stuff still has tags on it OR he grew so fast...we only had the chance to let him wear outfits ONE time only.
BTW...I'm in on pics for Halloween. Barrett's going to love being with all his "chicks".
What a sweet smile! That is a hard thing to do for the first time :(
