Dinner and a Sleepover

Our good friends, Nathan and Paige, came over for a yummy fish dinner last night. Zach and Nathan grew up together in Sunnyvale and have stayed close friends throughout the years. Paige is a little over 5 months pregnant with her first child (a little boy), so it was fun to sit and visit about our experiences. She wanted to know all about what it was like being a mommy, and I loved hearing her stories and reminiscing about being pregnant. We had such a nice, relaxing night cooking and talking. (Sorry, no pictures...the camera batteries were not charged.)

We also had my 3 year old niece sleep over for the night. Ella sure did enjoy Caysie entertaining her. I don't think she took her eyes off of her once! She is very intrigued with other children and gets extremely excited when they pay attention to her. :) After a good night's sleep, the girls woke up early ready to play again. It was so sweet to see how much Caysie acted like a mommy to Ella. She wanted to feed her and help change her, and make sure she was okay when she fussed.

Caysie and Ella Bella

Caysie was curious to see what Ella's rice cereal tastes like, so I let her try some. She did NOT like it!
Before and After

I also had a little helper to feed Ella, but she was not too sure about that.

It was time for Ella's nap so I put her in her crib, and Caysie decided she needed to take a nap WITH her. Of course Ella thought this was a fantastic idea. She laughed and squealed the whole time! Caysie got out soon after this picture was taken. :)

We painted Caysie's fingernails while Ella napped. Don't look too closely at the paint job. It is quite difficult to make a 3 year old sit still and not touch anything!

We had a great time having her with us!
