Can I just say that I love this holiday?! It has definitely moved to one of my top favorites. :) We had the BEST 4th of July this year! We started out at church, then home for lunch, naps and a little baking, and then went to Aunt Sissy's for an Independence Day bash! We swam, ate way too much, and enjoyed our own little firework show from the comfort of her backyard. We got lucky to not have to go anywhere to see a show since we had quite the assortment on hand, and the neighbors had about 40 people over for a mini display themselves. Of course Emerson went to bed before the fun started, but Ella got to see and be a part of all the action this year. She was a bit scared of the loud booms at first, but soon got over it and joined in on the fun. She loved the sparklers!
Emerson and Ella Grace before church...I cannot get a decent picture of these two! They never smile or sit still at the same time!
Love this happy, little blue-eyed girl...
Our homemade apple pie...thanks, Martha! :)
This little guy cracked us up. It was a chicken that shot fire out of his mouth and then a balloon, or "egg", came out of his hiney at the end. Ha!
Thanks to all the service men and women who fight for our freedom each day...
Hope everyone had a fun, safe 4th of July!
