Do you ever have so much to blog about, but nothing connects making it hard to come up with a title??? I've already done a "This and That" post before so I didn't want to use the same title again...hmmm. ANYWAY, here's what we have been up to lately. :)
Last Thursday night we took Ella to Chick-fil-A for dinner before meeting some of our Sunday School care group friends at the Harbor for ice cream. It happened to be one of the elementary school benefit nights so it was super packed, which E loved because she adores kids! She had her eye on the balloons that the principals were handing out and had to have one. She was attached to that thing all night and even wanted it tied to her stroller at the Harbor. :) Thursday nights out there are AMAZING! The {free} summer concerts by the lake have began and it is a very popular place to be. Of course Ella loved the music and danced a bit, but was WAY more interested in running around like a wild woman. She did not sit still for a minute. Those who know her aren't surprised I'm sure! :) Her little cheeks were so red, but she truly enjoyed herself. We had fun spending time with our friends from our class and enjoyed some ice cream from Cold Stone too!
Friday we had Ella's 1 year appt. {FINALLY} two months late! She is a perfectly healthy growing girl and they were so impressed by her skills. She was showing off and kept pulling on the stethoscope too. :) We were surprised when our dr. mentioned potty training!!! She asked if Ella had shown any interest and suggested that we go ahead and get her her own little potty to put in the bathroom next to ours. She even said to get one that fits on ours in case she would rather try that. Now, we aren't going to push this by any means, but wouldn't it be nice if she started acting interested in it??? I'll let you know when we get it. :) She also asked us is Ella like to color or "draw". Something else I hadn't done with her yet, but after all those shots we went straight to Target for some crayons! Look at the pics below to see how that went. :) (She still has tears in her eyes from the shots. :( )
How cute are these?!?!
Poor thing got 2 shots in each leg. :(
Well, lastly I am a little embarrassed to say that we have finally started brushing Ella's teeth after all this time. She has about 12 now, so it was definitely past due, but now is better than never! She loves it though and it has now become a ritual before bed each night.
Tomorrow marks 14 months for Ella Grace and what better way to celebrate than going to the spray park! We are excited to meet our friends there to have fun in the sun!!! I'll post pictures tomorrow. :)
